Simana Markovska often describe herself as a professional tourist. I have spent 26 years as an expert, consultant and trainer in sustainable tourism. I am a certified heritage interpreter and a trainer in interpretive writing at the European Association for Heritage Interpretation - Interpret Europe. I am also a professional licensed tour guide with experience in virtual tourism, and a PhD candidate exploring strategies to revitalize museums as sites for cultural tourism. Traveling and discovering the world is my private passion, so I try to share it with others as a travel writer - a.k.a. Manya the Tourist. I keep a travel blog and I write travel comedy books. As a member of the Association of Bulgarian Travel Writers and Journalists, I organize a lot of events for those who share my passion.
