Biography:

Since 1990, Yisca Harani has trained and continues to train thousands of students, teachers, tour guides, diplomats and civil servants in the field of Christianity. Education: Tel Aviv University, History Department, Program of Religious Studies. Following completion of her B.A., Harani continued on the direct track for doctoral studies in the department. Her field of expertise is Christianity in the Holy Land and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in particular. Yisca Harani serves as an ad hoc consultant for government ministries, among them the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Religions, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Prime Minister’s Office. She is also a consultant for private and public companies and is frequently interviewed on public broadcasting channels. Harani guides and instructs study tours for experts and students seeking to specialize in Christianity, as well as for participants in academic conferences on religions and religious studies. For many years, Harani has been active in interreligious dialogue, for which she was presented with the Mt. Zion Foundation Award for Reconciliation in 2013, together with a Palestinian woman active in the field.
